I made it to Ica around 230pm on Saturday after that extremely long journey. Jumped in a cabby and went to Casa de Arena in Huacachina - neighbouring town..offloaded my bags in a 20-person dorm and then signed up for the 1630 session on the dunes. It was so much fun and our driver was an absolute loony which helped. One guy came back with a stomping headache and had to hit the sack, another came back with a crooked neck! After all that, I was so glad to have a shower!! Sleeping on a bus for two nights does amazing things to your body odour!
There was nothing else to do so the next morning (so good sleeping on a mattress by the way) I packed and caught a bus to Nazca
